Certification:
Years of Project Management experience: If you have
worked on multiple projects in a single month only one of those projects is
required for your experience. It is not necessary if some of your project
management work was unpaid, as long as you have worked in the professional environment.
One thing you should keep in mind school or personal
projects doesn’t count, like planning your own wedding.
Hours spent in leading and directing projects: For
the PMP Certification requirement, you can count all the hours spent in
directing projects even if the work overlapped. This requirement is needed for
cross-functional team projects where you will be responsible for every feature
and managed the project across the triple constraints of time and scope.
Hours of conventional Project management education: Before
you apply for PMP Certification, you need to spend a lot of time learning about
project management and also about the ups and downs of project management. Any
course, workshop, or training session that covers core project management principles
and provides an assessment or certificate of completion applies toward this requirement.
You need to be prepared with the names of courses completed, institutions and
attended, and the total number of qualifying hours. There is no date of the expiration
of skills that you have achieved.
PMP Certification requirements may do vary based on your
level of education. If you graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree, for
example, you can qualify to take the PMP exam with less on-the-job project
management experience.

The PMP Certification exam is conducted by the Project Management Institute (PMI). After the approval of the PMP Certification application, you will receive an email from PMI with instructions and a code for your exam.
